Your tour begins when your flight arrives at Manila
Airport. Cultural Welcome and Dinner.
8:30AM Experience Intramuros and understand Jose
Rizal’s struggle to liberate his people from 333 years of
Spanish rule. Enjoy a masarap (delicious) lunch. In the
afternoon we will visit MZCF slum ministry for feeding
projects. Evening meal with MZCF team.
6AM Early Morning Van to Gawad Kalinga (GK)
Enchanted Farm. GK is transforming over 3000
Filipino communities. We will see 1st hand how they
are using social enterprise to provide scholarships
and job creation. Enjoy social enterprise
demonstrations and locally grown food.
6AM Early morning farming activity followed by
delicious breakfast. We will engage with GK locals and
be inspired by stories of transformation. GK workers will
help us process our learning. 1PM Leave Enchanted
Farm for GK Village. Journey to our GK Village to
commence Heroes House Build cultural immersion.
Settle in with hosts and cultural welcome.
6AM Early morning start to beat the heat. GK has a
unique way to build peaceful communities. They invite
locals from slum areas to give 1600 hrs of manual
labour in exchange for a house. We will do 2 x 2 hour
shifts per day. After locally prepared lunch we will cool
down in nearby pool. Afternoon “Palarong Pinoy” Play
games with village children. Evening dinner in GK
village .
6AM HouseBuild program 2 x 2 hours shifts plus
breakfast. After locally prepared lunch, there is a
special surprise, Bayanihan “Amazing Race” around
Village.Evening Cultural Show to say goodbye to GK
village.
Fly to Coron and start your island hopping adventure.
Palawan has recently been ranked #1 Best Island In The
World. Pickup from airport in airconditioned van. 4PM
Enjoy a relaxing City Tour then climb the 700 steps of Mt
Tapyas for stunning views of the town. 5:30PM Off to
the therapeutic “Maquinit HotSpring” to immerse and
relax those tired muscles.
8:30AM Off to the famous Kayangan Lake, winner of
cleanest and greenest lake for three consecutive years.
Experience the change in water temperature or “thermo
cline” at Twin Lagoon followed by lunch and spectacular
snorkeling.
8:30AM Visit islands famous for their pristine long
stretch of white sand, scenic views and beautiful
locations. Relax and unwind and reflect on your journey
so far.
